We’re Mellowdrop, a small indie studio based in Augsburg, Germany, and the team behind Niagara Launcher, a minimalist Android launcher with over 14 million downloads. What started in 2016 as a basement side project has grown into an app that helps millions of people declutter their phones. We’re a self-funded team of eight who genuinely care about building a cleaner, calmer phone experience, no ads, no bloat, no investors telling us what to ship. We are a very close team of relatively young people and actually like working together.
We’re looking for a UX Designer to help shape how hundreds of thousands of people interact with their phones every day. You’ll design and iterate on features for Niagara Launcher from early concepts to polished, shippable UI, building interaction flows and prototypes in Figma, contributing to our existing design system, and documenting your work clearly enough that engineers don’t have to guess. You’ll work closely with product, research, engineering, and marketing. This works best if you can be in our Augsburg office regularly, though we’re flexible about working from home some of the time.
