We’re still the same team and remain fully self-funded. We only changed the legal structure behind Niagara Launcher, from Peter Huber to Mellowdrop GmbH (German version of a “Limited” company). As the team has grown and is now working on Niagara Launcher full-time, it made sense to put a more professional structure in place.
We have users all over the globe, and that is amazing. However, writing an accurate Privacy Policies for an international audience is complex. Therefore we now use a tool called iubenda, which helps us meet the legal requirements of many different countries.
We want more people to discover Niagara Launcher, so we’re testing new marketing channels and running ads for Niagara Launcher on different platforms. To be clear, we do not show ads inside Niagara Launcher, and we do not plan to ever show ads inside Niagara Launcher. To understand whether our campaigns are working, we may need to share limited technical data with ad platforms, this may include Ad-IDs or attribution-related information. This is used only to measure campaign performance and does not give ad platforms access to your personal content or full interaction data inside Niagara Launcher nor any other apps.
